Ashfall
Above the ash, every encounter matters. Below it, empires burn.
A persistent-world, top-down MMO for PC. Floating islands above the clouds hold solo survival; the nuclear Underworld below holds empire warfare. Skill over gear, zero pay-to-win.

What is Ashfall?
Ashfall is a top-down, skill-based MMO for PC in development at Bunyad. Its world is split in two: floating islands of 50 to 80 players each for solo and small-group survival, and a procedural nuclear Underworld for player-run empires. There are no classes and no levels, everything is crafted, and nothing is pay-to-win.
How Ashfall works
- 01
The islands
50–80 players per island, procedural biomes, and islands you can discover, own and govern.
- 02
The Underworld
An endless nuclear wasteland with player-run societies, taxes, alliances and fully destructible bases.
- 03
Combat
Skill mastery, exoskeleton frames and programmable clone and bot armies. You learn your hidden mana pool by instinct, not by UI.
- 04
Economy
No gear drops finished. Crafters sign their work, a 700-point cap forces specialists, and one crystal fuels the war economy.

Questions about Ashfall
Is Ashfall pay-to-win?
No. Ashfall is built on skill over gear: there are no classes or levels, skills rise with use and decay without practice, and every weapon passes through a player crafter’s hands. The game’s own page states zero pay-to-win.
Is Ashfall out yet?
Not yet. Ashfall is in development, and its site lists no release date. The world, combat and economy design are published at ashfall.bunyad.io, which is where development updates go.
